I’m a seasoned San Francisco-based personal re-brander and executive recruiter. I have Boston roots and spent some years in the Midwest, too.
After college, I worked at the swanky Four Seasons in Chicago. Then I became a hotel and restaurant spy (happy to elaborate if you have questions). When my spy days were behind me, I joined an ad agency. While sitting next to the writer who coined the phrase “pork, the other white meat,” I cut my teeth on account management working on mayonnaise brands. When my mayonnaise days were over, I moved to San Francisco and worked at Goldberg Moser O’Neill and Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners West. Over eight years, I slowly shifted from account management to recruiting and I’ve been a recruiter ever since.
Today, I fill roles nationwide, mostly in marketing, advertising and design. I've also been redesigning resumes for 20 years and I’ve transformed nearly 10,000 resumes since 2004. Additionally, I help clients with their cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, websites and provide interview prepping tips.
My angle and approach is unique. I like communication pieces (resumes, cover letters, websites, etc.) to read well and effectively tell one’s professional story. Equally important, I want them to look attractive, clean and calm, and come across as friendly and “human,” not robotic or generic.
When I'm not working with clients and their job pursuits, I enjoy global travel; photography; making, designing, and selling jewelry; theater and comedy shows; urban and not-so-urban hiking; flea market and thrift store treasure hunting; interior design; and hanging out with my teenager, when he lets me.
